WARSAW — Poland’s ruling Civic Platform party won most of the votes in Sunday’s parliamentary election and, together with the agrarian coalition partner the Peasants Party, it will have a majority in the Sejm, lower house of parliament, according to an exit poll published after voting ended.

If the initial estimates are confirmed by the state electoral committee, Prime Minister Donald Tusk will be the first prime minister in Poland’s history after the collapse of communism in 1989 to win a second term in power.
