Grupa Bilderberg jest tajną organizacją zrzeszającą liderów świata polityki i międzynarodowych finansistów, którzy spotykają się od 1957 roku niejawnie, każdej wiosny, by tworzyć politykę dla całego świata. To coś na kształt nieoficjalnego rząd światowy. Na corocznych spotkaniach pojawiają się wyłaniani wedle nieznanego klucza delegaci krajów oraz wielkiego biznesu.

Co zaskakujące, w tym roku nasz kraj ma reprezentować Anna Applebaum – żona obecnego Marszałka Sejmu, Radosława Sikorskiego. W przeszłości Polskę reprezentował Aleksander Kwaśniewski, Andrzej Olechowski, Janusz Palikot i przez dwa lata z rzędu, były wicepremier Jacek Rostowski. Trzeba powiedzieć, że to dość zaskakujące, iż pani Applebaum w tym roku reprezentuje Polskę, a nie USA czy Izrael. Z drugiej jednak strony to i tak postęp, bo rok temu w Kopenhadze nasz kraj nie był w ogóle reprezentowany.

Mimo, że konferencja staje się coraz bardziej przejrzysta dzięki udostępnianym informacjom o jej agendzie i uczestnikach, to nadal spotkania pozostają ściśle tajne i nie wolno ich rejestrować, ani pisać o rozmowach tam prowadzonych, czy powziętych ustaleniach. Można tylko podejrzewać, ze przedstawiciele poszczególnych krajów otrzymują tam jakieś wytyczne, które potem są realizowane przez poszczególne rządy krajowe.
